past/ongoing work:

I just had work featured in Pablo’s Birthday Gallery’s 21st birthday exhibition in Chelsea, NY October 21-Nov 3.

I play and tour as a member of Delicate Steve’s band. Most recently we played at O Positive festival in Kingston, NY.

I opened for Jolie Holland at Francis Kite Club on the Lower East Side, NY, September 13th, 2023.

I opened for Laura Veirs at the Owl Music Parlor in Brooklyn, NY on March 29, 2023.

I opened for Jesse Harris at the Owl Music Parlor in Brooklyn, NY on December 2, 2022.

I went on my first solo tour of Europe, performing my songs in Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, The Hague, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, London and Glasgow in the first two weeks of November 2022.

I opened for Indigo Sparke at Public Records, Brooklyn on October 7th, 2022.

The weekend of September 10th - 11th 2022 I had a solo show featuring several large-scale works on Governor’s Island as part of the New York City Poetry Festival.

I shared an artist talk/performance lecture at Jack Shainman Gallery with IATP on May 13, 2022.

I was the featured artist with La Pera Projects throughout March 2022.

My work was exhibited in a group show at Heroes Gallery February 26 - March 10, 2022.

My paintings and works on paper were featured in a pop-up group show with Echo Arts Initiative in January 2022.

My installation β€˜Inner Space Noah’s Ark’ was up December 18, 2021 through January 8, 2022 with ABC No Rio at 519 Evergreen Ave in Bushwick, Brooklyn.

I collaborated with sound artist Timothy Cleary on a piece called β€˜Inner Ear Reversible Reversals’ on October 14, 2021 at City Reliquary, Brooklyn.

I host/facilitate Foolishly Use the Force and Ride the Chariot - an experimental performance event devoted to offering a safe space for artists to take on the fool mentality and try out new things at the edges of their practices. The event began as a monthly gathering at Cloud City in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and is now more sporadic and nomadic. Most recent iterations were in September 2021 at the historic East River Park amphitheater, just before its demolition and May 2022 at KGB bar in Manhattan.

I’m the lead in Alexa Echoes, originally written for live theatre by Amanda Turner Pohan but reconcieved as a film. Premiered in February 2021, it was shot at the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing arts Center (EMPAC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It’s next screening will be at the 2023 Images Festival.

In January 2021 I published a pandemic essay about time, distance and intimacy with Total Theatre Magazine in the UK.

I created and continue to develop EEEE what is the sound of this shadow, a poem-play-installation about Eurydice which premiered in 2019 at Dixon Place, New York City. My most recent performance of the piece in November 2020 was hosted by Peter Piper Pictures in a transitional space in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

In summer 2020 I showed video work β€˜Desire for Language’ as part of a group show at Pablo’s Birthday Gallery in New York.

I conceived of and orchestrated BIRD CALL, an experiment in group listening and collective performance practice. It premiered at the Old Baths in Hackney Wick, London in January 2020. The work, inspired by the β€œsensitive cacophony” of birds, is an unbroken/overlapping chain of interdisciplinary performance.

I’ve performed original/devised work at Tate Xchange at Tate Modern, London; Tsinghua University, Beijing; Dixon Place and Interrobang Festival in New York; Summerhall @ Edinburgh Fringe; Betonest Arts Residency, Berlin; participated in performance pieces at the Royal Academy of Arts, London; ARCO, Madrid; The Ryder Projects, London; w/ Global Committee at Garis & Hahn Gallery on the Bowery, New York City; w/ Lilac Co Theatre at H0L0 Brooklyn + The Segal Center in New York City’s Prelude Festival; and performed in films screened at Moscow MOMA and Frieze London.
